Historian Ray H. Mattison thanks Helen MacLachlan for the Elkhorn Ranch photographs. While in Maine, Mattison was able to obtain a ground plan for the ranch house.

Historian Ray H. Mattison reviews a floor plan of the Elkhorn Ranch cabin from the William Wingate Sewall collection owned by Sewall’s daughter, Nancy Sewall Cunningham. He believes that the plan was drawn by Theodore Roosevelt.

Paul Dana will tell Goldwin Smith what was in President Roosevelt’s note. He hopes that organizing the White House will not be too difficult for Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt. The American Architects will be discussing plans for altering the White House at their meeting in Buffalo, New York, on October 3. One of Dana’s sons is at Groton School and the other two are entering school.
