King Edward VII inquired about President Roosevelt and Secretary of State Hay. The king requested a photograph of Roosevelt which will be provided by Ambassador Joseph Hodges Choate. Hay is concerned that their friends’ complaints might make Earl Halsbury hold up the treaty.
