William Barclay Parsons has heard that several members of Congress have been complaining about his drawing a government salary while absent from the country for so long, and he therefore asks William Loeb to make it clear to President Roosevelt that he neither drew a salary during, nor will ask for compensation for, the three months he was abroad.
