Edith Bell Opdycke read Theodore Roosevelt’s recent article in the Outlook, and agrees with what he says. While she regrets expressing disapproval of President William H. Taft’s administration, there are many points at which she feels he has seriously erred, and she believes his renomination would be “an act of stupendous folly.”

Letter from Leslie M. Shaw to George B. Cortelyou

Secretary of the Treasury Shaw returns a letter from Max Lowy and comments that he was “glad of the opportunity to look this matter over.” Shaw points out that the events were investigated soon after they happened and that there is nothing to connect them to George O. Glavis or anyone else in the Treasury Department.
