George Washington Cook was a one-term Congressman-at-Large from Colorado, serving from 1907-1909, whose Republican Party affiliation did not dissuade him from declaring war on President Roosevelt on a variety of issues virtually his entire tenure.

President Roosevelt has decided to form a commission of fifteen members to pursue the recommendations James Bronson Reynolds gave in his report on housing the poor in Washington D. C. He lists the proposed commission members and asks Reynolds to serve as a member.
