President Roosevelt has recently heard from Edward C. Carter about the success of the YMCA in India. Roosevelt has heard that Harvard “has done its part in the matter” and offers Professor Edward Caldwell Moore and the rest of Harvard his congratulations.

President Roosevelt thanks Endicott Peabody for the note about his son, Archibald B. Roosevelt. He now agrees with Peabody that Archie should remain at Groton, but be held back a year. Per Peabody’s request, he sent a note of congratulation to Professor Edward Caldwell Moore.

Endicott Peabody, founder of the Groton School, introduces Edward C. Carter, a Harvard alumnus who has been doing missionary work for the YMCA in India. Carter and Logan Herbert Roots, another Harvard alumnus who is a missionary in China, have a plan to increase the number of Harvard men doing missionary work. Carter and Roots would like President Roosevelt to lend his name to the advisory council.
