He suggests that Brandegee and his wife Mary dine with him at William Sturgis Bigelow’s house on Sunday or Monday. He will contact Gardiner Howland Shaw and drop in at the club on Monday. Roosevelt notes that his son Archibald was deeply impressed by the Brandegees’ kindness.
