Assemblyman Roosevelt was able to get back for the evening legislative session. He had his first sparring session in five years and feels better but out of training. Roosevelt feels like he has the reins in his hand and has been better able to enjoy things.

Governor Roosevelt has been busy with “parochial politics” and is in a fight over the “Payn business.” He believes that Louis F. Payn “is a crook, pure and simple.” Roosevelt has been wrestling for exercise but his various injuries have him considering a switch to boxing.

In a boxing ring, Uncle Sam is the referee for a boxing match between Theodore Roosevelt, with his campaign manager Joseph M. Dixon, on the right, and President William H. Taft, with his campaign manager William Brown McKinley, on the left. Standing at the back of the ring are challengers to the winner of the match: “Harmon, Clark, Wilson, [and] Underwood” as the Democratic hopefuls in the upcoming presidential election. Monroe Douglas Robinson thanks President Roosevelt, his uncle, for the photographs and book. Robinson chronicles his recent activities. He has cousins visiting and has been involved in games and has a hockey match coming up. He also mentions that he likes boxing and hopes to compete in school.
