Stockwell asked Theodore Roosevelt what his favorite text or portion of the Bible was, explaining that he intended to prepare a series of sermons titled “Favorite Texts of Famous People.” Stockwell expressed admiration for Roosevelt’s work and noted that including his selection would serve as an inspiration to others.
