Letter from Mildred Ackerly Spring to Theodore Roosevelt

Mildred Ackerly Spring introduces herself to Theodore Roosevelt as the daughter of his friend, Judge Alfred Spring. She has been collecting autographs of her father’s prominent friends, and asks if, now that he is a private citizen, he might have the time to spare to write her a letter. She wished to write to Roosevelt while he was president, but her father said that he would be too busy to respond.
