Richard Wilson Knott is distressed over the factional disputes in the Kentucky Republican Party and is discouraged at the outlook of the Republicans in Kentucky. He supports President Roosevelt’s renomination in 1904 and hopes to avoid a “doubtful Presidential election.” Under the present circumstances, it will be difficult to secure the Kentucky delegation for Roosevelt.
