Theodore Roosevelt says he sadly cannot accept an invitation to speak from William M. E. Whitelock, a student at Harvard University. Roosevelt says it is impossible given the large number of invitations he receives. Roosevelt notes the physical drain speaking engagements can have on him and how if he accepted any more invitations his other work would suffer.
