Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Reuben Gold Thwaites
President Roosevelt acknowledges receipt of Reuben Gold Thwaites’s letter, and asks him to simply reprint what he has already said. Roosevelt tells Thwaites that if he writes a new note, “I am afraid I might get into difficulties with some other institutions who are continually asking me to do similar things.”
