Theodore Roosevelt tells Joseph H. Reynolds that he will send a contribution to his fair, but will not make an appearance. Roosevelt continues by stating that it is impossible for him to address the thousands of requests he has received, and cannot show favoritism to one organization without accepting requests from similar ones.
