Ray H. Mattison writes John H. Reid about a study on the Elkhorn Ranch, noting that an archeological survey may be possible. However, an actual excavation will most likely not happen for several years. Mattison encloses a photograph of a house at the Wiedeman Ranch and asks is Reid would know whether the logs in this house were originally from the Elkhorn Ranch house.
