Assistant Secretary of the Navy Roosevelt apologizes to Winfield Scott Moody that he does not have the time to write a review of his book, “Soldiers of Fortune,” but has enjoyed what he has read so far. Roosevelt tried to correct the misunderstanding with several people on the telephone the day prior, feeling he unknowingly deceived them into sending him the book.
