Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Gilbert John Murray Kynynmond Elliot Minto
President Roosevelt particularly appreciated Lord Minto’s letter. On a personal level, he appreciated Minto’s kindness to him. The letter also is proof of “the sincere and genuine sympathy” that the British have for the Americans during “this time of grief” following the assassination of William McKinley.
