President Roosevelt sincerely regrets that it is probably too late to make the change to his address that Lynn Roby Meekins suggests, because it has been printed. However, he will include the change in the book of his messages and speeches.

President Roosevelt thanks Lynn Roby Meekins for the kind words, and says he is happy to hear what he says about Maryland. Roosevelt cannot attend the meeting of the Deep Waterways Congress; if he attended one such meeting, he would have to attend “a number literally without count.”
