Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt agrees that Theodore Roosevelt could make a few brief speaking engagements, hence his appearance at Madison Square Garden yesterday. He will be making another appearance next Friday to support the New York State campaign.

Theodore Roosevelt is pleased to have Isaac L. Hunt with him in this fight, presumably referring to the 1912 Presidential campaign, and invites Hunt to come visit at Oyster Bay. Roosevelt will show Hunt a framed picture of the two of them with Billy O’Neil, Walter Howe, and George Spinney.

President Roosevelt assures Isaac L. Hunt that he will certainly investigate if any member of the Department of Justice has been guilty of improper conduct, but he does not think he can do much else. He has not interfered, nor will he interfere, in the nomination in any Congressional district. Roosevelt will forward Hunt’s letter to Sherman.
