Due to the untimely death of his nephew, Stewart Douglas Robinson, President Roosevelt must unfortunately cancel all engagements for next week, including his lunch with Baroness Hengelmüller. However, Roosevelt would still like to see Hengelmüller and suggests several times for lunch or tea.

President Roosevelt inquires when it will be most convenient for Baroness Hengelmüller to host them for lunch. He suggests either February 27 or February 25.

Since his previous letter to Baroness Hengelmüller von Hengervár, President Roosevelt learned that his wife, Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt, is busy on February 27. He suggests that they come for lunch with the Baroness and her husband, Ambassador Ladislaus Hengelmüller von Hengervár, on February 25. Roosevelt would prefer that no one else be invited.

Roosevelt is concerned to learn that Marie Hengelmüller von Hengervár has not yet fully recovered.
