Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Ulysses S. Grant
President Roosevelt informs Ulysses S. Grant, son of the former president, that the matter is entirely in the hands of Secretary of State Elihu Root. He regrets the occurrence, but assures Grant that given Root’s connection to the Grant family, he would be the least likely to cause them harm.
