Letter from Secretary of Theodore Roosevelt to Ferdinand P. Ebert
Theodore Roosevelt’s secretary informs Reverend Ebert that Roosevelt unfortunately cannot help with the matter he discussed in his letter. Roosevelt is not a rich man and he is already doing as much as he is able to do to help in other cases. Roosevelt wishes that he could be of assistance to Ebert, as he sympathizes with the circumstances of the situation.
