Edith is doing what Anna requested and Senator Lodge sent a nice note about Anna. Edith then writes she will see Mrs. Butler about the announcement and Edith will take care of everything at Anna’s house at 689 Madison Ave.

The political outlook is bleak and Roosevelt feels he will be legislated out of existence in a few months. The Democrats are under Tammany’s control and the Republicans under Thomas Collier Platt.

Sister Corinne also wrote and related the details of the wedding. Edith has written to Mrs. Olney on behalf of Anna to see if Anna can stay six or eight months more in London. Though Roosevelt works a lot, he takes some time for leisure with the family.

Governor Morton does not like Roosevelt’s friendship with Representative Reed.

He has finished his book so he can fully devote himself to being Police Commissioner. He believes they will try and legislate the Commissioners out of office this year. Roosevelt lunched with Bob and wasn’t able to meet sister Corinne and her husband Douglas Robinson when they arrived.
