Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Launcelot M. Blackford
President Roosevelt authorizes Principal Launcelot M. Blackford to permit the monitor to administer proper discipline to his son, Quentin Roosevelt, when he receives sufficient demerits to warrant it. Roosevelt asks that Blackford show this letter to Quentin as a warning and will allow Quentin to return to Washington when his “demerits are not excessive.”
