President Roosevelt thanks Rasmus B. Anderson for his letter. He is pleased with the way Anderson handled the actions of his publishers who opened a personal letter from Roosevelt and made a copy of it.

William Loeb has been advised by President Roosevelt that Rasmus B. Anderson has made copies of Roosevelt’s personal letter, and book agents are using this to promote the sale of Norroena. Loeb tells Anderson that Roosevelt does not allow such use of his personal letters and that Anderson must immediately recall the copied letters. If Anderson does not take action to remedy this breach of trust then Roosevelt will return the volumes given to him and release a statement revealing why they were returned.
