He describes his own admiration of and friendship with Sternburg. Baldwin shares insights on Sternburg’s potential replacements, including Gustav Adolf von Götzen and Hilmar von dem Bussche-Haddenhausen. Baldwin believes Sternburg would have approved of the latter’s appointment.
