Senator Hansbrough has received around 300 replies to his circular letter directed at North Dakota Republicans. All replies have been favorable towards President Roosevelt’s renomination. The main concern appears to be renominating Roosevelt without embarrassing him due to his statement from 1904 that he would not seek renomination. Hansbrough believes that Republicans are nearly unanimous for Roosevelt and North Dakota “would give a tremendous majority for Roosevelt.”
