James Rudolph Garfield tells President Roosevelt that the Cuyahoga Convention was “overwhelmingly in favor” of Theodore E. Burton and he was pleased with the tariff plank adopted. Garfield also mentions that Leonard Paul Howland was nominated for the House of Representatives.
