C. Grant La Farge thanks President Roosevelt for the letter. He hopes that his wife Florence will be able to come visit soon, and they can all have a nice time together. La Farge has been upset lately over a common acquaintance of theirs whom he calls a “mean dog,” and notes that it is a real help to “pour out one’s woes to a friend.”
