Senator Beveridge writes to President Roosevelt telling him that he is extremely busy presently and would like to postpone meeting up for lunch until the fall. He also asks him to remain neutral and not interfere with any of the happenings in Indiana – he has it under control. Beveridge tells the president he is in good standing with the Republican Party in Indiana.
