Albert Shaw sends an article he wrote entitled “The President and the Trusts” and believes that arbitrating the Venezuelan crisis at the Hague will be “a great triumph of American statesmanship.” Shaw wishes President Roosevelt a merry Christmas, but adds that Butler’s wife is very ill.
