Senator Beveridge provides a note of introduction for George W. Beavers of the Post Office. Beveridge attempted to introduce Beavers in person, but President Roosevelt was meeting with General Nelson Appleton Miles and the Senator had to leave for a meeting related to Governor-General of the Philippines William H. Taft.
