Two political cartoons from Puck magazine related to the 1903 revolution in Panama appear on the front and back covers of this issue. The front cover shows Uncle Sam addressing a much smaller figure designated as Panama while the back cover shows an even smaller figure labeled as Columbia beating a war drum.
