After briefly describing the origins of the term “plankowner”–a ship’s crewmember assigned to a Navy ship on the day of the ship’s commissioning–this article lists the individuals, couples, and businesses who have earned the status of “honorary plankowners” of the U.S.S. Theodore Roosevelt because they have made “significant contributions of funds, time, or talent.”
