Primary sources in the form of letters, a first hand account, a speech, and quotations make up most of this issue of the Theodore Roosevelt Association Journal. Excerpts from a trove of letters between Marion Morrison King and Edith Kermit Roosevelt and four letters from Theodore Roosevelt to President William McKinley are supplemented by a commencement speech by John A. Gable, five quotations from Theodore Roosevelt, and the recollections of Christina Rainsford who witnessed the events surrounding Theodore Roosevelt’s summons to Buffalo, New York in September 1901. Gable also reviews David McCullough’s Mornings on Horseback.
A drawing of the Ansley Wilcox home in Buffalo, New York, now known as the Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural National Historic Site, appears on the front cover.
