Henry H. Smith asks President Roosevelt to delay submitting Smith’s communication to Secretary of the Treasury Lyman J. Gage. He assures Roosevelt he does not have any quarrels with George R. Bidwell; however, Bidwell has led Gage astray on certain issues.
