On behalf of Theodore Roosevelt, his secretary acknowledges receipt of the letter from John H. Mingus. While Roosevelt sympathizes with Mingus’s cause, it is not possible for him to write the asked-for article. He would be pleased, however, to give Mingus permission to reprint the article which appeared in the Outlook, so long as it is properly attributed.
