Theodore Roosevelt thanks Duncan B. Harrison for the kind offer to send him and his wife, Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt, a vacuum cleaner. He declines the offer, however, as they would not be able to use it because his house at Sagamore Hill does not have electricity.
