Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Alice A. Coolidge

Subject(s): Occasional speeches

Theodore Roosevelt regrets that he will not be able to accept the invitation to speak at the Lakeville State Sanitorium in Middleboro, Massachusetts. Roosevelt appreciates the courtesy and kindness of those who ask him to speak; however, he has received thousands of similar requests and to accept them all he would have to abandon all thought of other work.
