Letter from Theodore Roosevelt to Thomas Robins

Theodore Roosevelt thinks Thomas Robins’s letter describes an action characteristic of all that Robins does. Roosevelt is sorry for what Robins has said, but believes that when a man comes near the end of his life he ought to be thankful for all the good times he has had, and thankful if he has been able to add to the sum of decent behavior in the world.
