President Roosevelt praises Emily Nelson Ritchie McLean, saying that it is “no wonder the Daughters of the Revolution do well when they have you to lead them.” Roosevelt will be unable to accept McLean’s invitation, as he will be on his way to Africa on April 19, but asks her to convey his best wishes to the Daughters of the American Revolution.
