President Roosevelt informs James Grant Wilson that it is not possible for him to accept any invitation to dinner during the upcoming fall, and asks Wilson to not consult him about it. If Roosevelt is asked to take part in the work of the organization he will have to resign from the honorary presidency, as he only accepted on the understanding that in doing so he expressed his approval of the organization, but that he could not do any work in conjunction with it.
