President Roosevelt thinks that cartoonist Homer Davenport should not be allowed to get away from them, and wishes that Secretary of War William H. Taft would take the matter up with the committee. Davenport will do better work than any other man, and Taft cannot afford to let “the Hearst crowd” take him.
