President Roosevelt sends Charles MacDonald, president of the American Society of Engineers, a letter he is sending to the governors of several states. The letter relates to the proper conservation of natural resources and invites them to attend a conference at the White House with their experts. He also encloses a letter from the National Advisory Board on Fuels and Structural Materials which suggests that Roosevelt could bring the matter of conservation to the American people to invite participation from engineering societies. He invites the American Society of Engineers to participate in the conference.
