President Roosevelt is glad that Oliver D. Filley understood his situation. He invites Filley and Roger Alden Derby to lunch if there is anything they wish to discuss, and offers to invite Assistant Secretary of State Robert Bacon as well. Roosevelt emphasizes that the invitation should not be treated as mandatory, especially if it is inconvenient for them to come.
