President Roosevelt encloses for Paul Joseph Dashiell letters from Harvard President Charles William Eliot and Richard Henry Dana about brutality in football. Dana’s letter specifically discusses a recent game that Dashiell umpired, where Dashiell failed to properly penalize a brutal play.
