President Roosevelt has learned that Secretary of the Interior Ethan A. Hitchcock holds Commissioner of Patents Frederick Innes Allen in high regard, similar to Senator Platt. Roosevelt says, therefore, that the White House will announce that Allen is to continue in his position.
