While President Roosevelt appreciates United States Consul George W. Roosevelt’s kindness in sending Edith Kermit Carow Roosevelt a fan, he respectfully requests that no more gifts be sent to his family. Additionally, Roosevelt informs Consul Roosevelt that he is to replace Consul-General Frank H. Mason in Berlin.
