The Alaskan bills have passed the Senate and President Roosevelt requests that they be brought before the House. Roosevelt believes the Alaskans asked him for help because he is “popularly supposed to be rather more of a far-westerner than any President” that came before him. Alaska has a great need for the legislation to pass.
