President Roosevelt will provide the hunting books for the “representatives of Tiglath-Pileser the First.” Roosevelt is lightheartedly referring to the Governor of Isfahan, Persia, for whom Lloyd Carpenter Griscom had requested an autographed copy of one of Roosevelt’s books. Tiglath-Pileser I was an ancient Assyrian monarch.
